Welcome to submit your manuscript to the Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing,

Welcome to submit your manuscript to the Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing,“https://www.hindawi.com/journals/wcmc/si/834953/cfp/”, 29 November 2019.

Goal: The Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging paradigm which can interact with and enhance wireless communication systems and artificial intelligence technologies, and is considered to have a wide range of applications. Meanwhile, fifth generation (5G) networks promise high speed rates, low latency and high throughput. To this end, physical layer technologies such as millimeter wave (mmWave), massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), physical layer security (PLS), backscatter communication (BSC) and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) have the potential to vastly enhance the capabilities of 5G-enabled IoT systems and devices.

5G-enabled IoT can make a great contribution to society by providing and advancing intelligent services for human beings. The application field of 5G-enabled IoT relates to all sectors, such as industry, agriculture, environment, traffic, logistics and so on. The scope of service, the mode of service and the quality of service can be greatly improved by 5G-enabled IoT, which has effectively promoted intelligent development and helped make limited resources more readily available.

This Special Issue aims to bring together researchers and industry professionals to report recent research advances in physical layer technologies for 5G-enabled IoT. In light of the current interest in critical 5G-enabled IoT, this Special Issue welcomes research that discusses network architecture and system design, fog and edge computing, big data and machine learning. We invite researchers to contribute original research and review articles that identify opportunities and challenges for 5G-enabled IoT technologies.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

Massive MIMO systems for 5G-enabled IoT
NOMA for 5G-enabled IoT
UAVs for 5G-enabled IoT
PLS for 5G-enabled IoT
Energy harvesting for 5G-enabled IoT
mmWave communications for 5G-enabled IoT
BSC for 5G-enabled IoT
