Welcome to participate in SCS 2019, Atlanta, America, July 14-17, 2019! Atlanta is the capital of, and the most populous city in, the U.S. state of Georgia. With an estimated 2017 population of 486,290, it is also the 39th most-populous city in the United States. The city serves as the cultural and economic center of the Atlanta metropolitan area, home to 5.8 million people and the ninth-largest metropolitan area in the nation.Atlanta is the seat of Fulton County, the most populous county in Georgia. A small portion of the city extends eastward into neighboring DeKalb County.

The Fifth International Symposium on Sensor-Cloud Systems (SCS 2019), in conjunction with "The 12th International Conference on Security, Privacy and Anonymity in Computation, Communication and Storage (SpaCCS 2019)". Due to the limitations of sensor networks (e.g., memory, energy, computation, communication, and scalability), efficient management of a large volume of collected sensor data is a challenging issue for researchers and practitioners in the sensor network communities.The integration of sensor networks and cloud computing, Sensor-Cloud Systems for short, makes it attractive for long term operation, analysis and use in many applications. Sensor-cloud raises many research and practical challenges such as event processing and management, real time data processing, large scale computing infrastructure and network frameworks.The workshop focus on the techniques, methodologies, models, applications in the areas of sensor networks and cloud computing.
